What I'm Up To???

I've been busy. I resigned from my previous job. Been jobless for five days. Got hired and I will move to my new apartment tomorrow (my rent is due for the current one). I haven't visited my new 'hub' but I heard it has free wifi and cable. It should be!!! The rent is hefty. Hopefully I'll be able to blog decently soon.

Etude House Apricot Stick

Another lippie! Yay! I really love Etude House (mainly because of the store's ambiance I guess). I bought this one together with the nail polish which you can find here.  Apricot Stick is a selection of tinted lip balms. Great for lip balm lovers who want a hint of color. I chose #1. It has a yummy strawberry candy scent and taste. I think this a 'baby' version of lipstick or the real thing. When I was in high school, I was prohibited to use lipstick because that's for the 'grown ups' only. But I am allowed to use lip balm. So I think this will work well with tweens and high schoolers. Especially if your school prohibits using lipstick, you can always say that you are using a lip balm, (a tinted lip balm for that matter). Just make sure to use the color nearest to your natural lip color though, lol. Or else you'll get caught for not following your school policy. I also suggest this to people who are afraid trying on 'mother' lipstick. Its moisturizing capability is amazing. It is not that greasy which will make you look like you smothered your lips a handful of lechon. Great for everyday wear.

I am actually thinking of gifting this to my fifteen year old cousin on her birthday. She is also not allowed to use lipstick yet (but she REALLY wants to try). We have the same high school.

How about you? Any lipbalm suggestion?

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Smitten, Lovesick and Honey

I recently made some naughty purchase last week. I saw the Revlon's Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain advert and I was totally hooked with Emma Stone's lip color. And I was like 'I need to have one!'. Oops!! I got three actually. It's like lip stain + lip balm. I purchased Lovesick, Smitten and Honey. It looks like a jumbo chubby Crayola that kindergarten pupils use in school. It has a faint minty scent and also feels a bit minty upon application. It glides perfectly on my lips, so easy to apply. It is also super moisturizing and highly pigmented. You can reapply any lip balm of your choice after the balm wears off, don't worry you still have your lips 'stained'. The color is long lasting (difficult to remove!).

Let's check how it looks on my lips:

Swatches on my arm:

Smitten: It's a plum-pink color. I usually wear this during night time.

Lovesick: Fuchsia pink that I absolutely love! I never encounter any fuchsia pink as gorgeous as this. This is my favorite among the three.

Honey: Nude-pink. Great for everyday wear. The color is almost the same with my natural lip color. The only thing I hate about this is I need to make more swipes than usual for the color to pop since I think it looks 'barely there' on my lips. But I applied it on my friend and the color is more apparent on her (it's unfair!)

This is definitely a good buy for me. My best lippie so far. It doesn't leave any build up around my lips (common for lip stains). And there's no need for me to reapply it again since it's long lasting. I super love it!!!!

Etude House Nail Polish

Etude Polish on top of Etude advert! xx
Etude House. Everytime I pass through the doll house-like shop, it seems like there's a magnetic force pulling me to go inside. Its whimsy pink interior is so hard to resist and I know I really have to buy something. This is my first time to purchase nail polish from the shop. And my first time to purchase pastels.  I normally buy black or red or any dark hue for my nails. Testing my water on these babies isn't bad after all.  I just need to get used to it. I made a 'nail polish swatch' of each color on my nails and the pastel blue became an instant favorite. It also lasts for a week without chipping. I haven't tried using it without a clear top coat so I won't be able to tell if it will lasts for a couple of days though. It is also easy to apply and dries quickly. It doesn't feel heavy on the nails as well. On the downside, it doesn't come with a distinct name for each polish. I've checked the website and it is grouped according to family and then a number (for the white one it's Petit Darling Nails WH702).

Will I repurchase? Definitely!

"Things to Achieve" Report

Remember I posted things that I need to achieve for the month of July, where you can find here. Now, I want to give a FULL report (ahem) of what i achieved (so far).

Exercise.  I manage to walk form work. ONCE. Not quite an achievement I know. I hate this weather. How can you go to work walking with this heavy rain?

Cook. I was able to bring my own lunch at work. Yay!! And also I was able to try a new creamy chicken  recipe that I got from youtube. I altered the recipe to suit my own liking. Will post about the recipe soon.

Take some pictures.  I've got new pictures and I'll post some of it soon!

Clean the apartment. I just did a normal cleaning. Not an overhaul.

Buy a book. I haven't purchased any. Only my monthly subscription to Cosmo and OK!

Post a blog regularly. Yes to this!!!! (I think..)

Watch a movie. Amazing Spider Man. And Step Up.

So now, let's welcome August!!!!
